Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine, sterilized needles into the skin at specific points along meridian pathways. These meridians represent channels of energy in the body, and pain is often caused by blockages within these pathways. By using both local and distal points, acupuncture works to clear these blockages and restore the flow of energy.

Many people assume that acupuncture feels like a sharp injection, but the hair-fine needles I use during treatments cause little to no pain. In fact, most clients find the experience relaxing.

I incorporate various acupuncture methods to enhance the effectiveness of treatments:

Electroacupuncture: This technique involves inserting needles and then connecting them to a machine that sends gentle electrical pulses between the needles. The current and voltage settings are carefully adjusted to suit the individual. Low voltages and frequencies are used to create a pulsating effect, which enhances the treatment by stimulating deeper tissue and promoting healing.

Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture: The ear contains hundreds of points that correspond to different parts of the body. By stimulating these points with small needles or seeds on a plaster, the ear acts as a switchboard to the brain. This technique is especially useful for detoxification and addiction support.

Wrist and Ankle Acupuncture: I use microsystems in the wrists and ankles to target specific areas of pain and blockage while also supporting overall energy balance.
